If your MOOD is tied to your practice results,
you are guaranteed to (eventually) feel awful.
Consider this alternative...
It's an easy trap to fall into. I spent years doing this before finally realizing I was only fun to be around when I had good weeks. Think twice about inviting me to a party on a "down week" - I had a knack of turning lemonade into lemons!
Here's how it played out...
Every morning and evening, I'd check my schedule:
NUMBERS ARE UP: I felt uplifted, optimistic and hopeful - the world is my oyster!
NUMBERS ARE DOWN: I felt worried, anxious, doom,
and depressed - of course it's raining on my birthday, what else is new?
If you can relate, this is a dangerous habit to get yourself into. We all know in any chiropractic/vet practice, stock market, business balance sheet, relationship, honeymoon at a tropical destination, your body weight, etc...volatility (moving up/down) is NORMAL.
