Do you know how your practice is performing?
Have you ever noticed, you'll always run faster if you've got someone you're competing against, or a time you're trying to beat?
That's human nature. Gosh, I've also noticed guys at the gym stack on heavier weights if they think I may be watching - lol.
I'm sure there's some fancy psychology term to describe this phenomenon, but I'll just refer to this as the "Competition Effect."
Our practices are no different. Unfortunately, most of us practice alone. Years ago, one of our founders (Nevin) gave me an incredibly valuable lesson in keeping track of my practice's performance and created my own "Competition Effect."
I used these calculations to create a competition effect - I was now competing against my own numbers. Six months later, I re-ran the calculations and couldn't believe the difference it made.
So, I thought I'd share this great lesson with you.
Oh yeah, do this right away, we'll probably not keep this available for long.
Also, keep an eye out for the next few emails, I'll be sending some tips to help you affect these numbers if you're not sure how.
